Since flue gas components differ according to the application for which boilers are used, there is a need for a dust collector developed for specific requirements.
Dust collectors for coal-fired boilers must address the efficient collection of soot and dust. To this end, Hitachi Plant has developed a bag filter for coal-fired boilers based on pulse-jet system licensed from Environmental Elements Corporation (EEC), which has a great deal of experience in this field in USA.

Pulse-Jet System

A blast of compressed air is suddenly injected from above the interior of the filter bag, generating a pulse-jet air flow that blows away particles of soot and dust deposited on the exterior of the cylindrical filter bag.
