A compressor is machinery that compresses gases such as air and gas.
Compressors are used in various places and for various applications in society, and modern society cannot function without compressors.
We have an extensive product line-up to satisfy various needs, ranging from the large centrifugal compressors for process use that form the heart of petrochemical plants, chemical plants, and natural gas plants, as well as general-purpose compressors used in automotive applications, electronics, IT, food processing, steel, and other plant lines.
We supply products not only in Japan, but also overseas, based on our long experience and advanced technology.

Applications

We have a product line-up to suit a wide range of fields, such as ultra-high-pressure reciprocating compressors for 100 MPa or higher, centrifugal compressors for process use that cover a wide range of applications, medium and large centrifugal air compressors, general-purpose air compressors with high cost performance (output from 105-960 kW), oil-free screw compressors, and turbo compressors.

Centrifugal compressors

Process centrifugal compressors serve as the heart of plants that require high reliability. Hitachi independently develops high-efficiency compressors, which are used by customers in regions throughout the world.

Vertically split process centrifugal compressors (BCH)
Cylindrical-shaped vertically split (barrel-shaped) compressors are used for hydrogen and other light gases and applications with a high pressure of about 4-35 MPa, and are capable of high-speed stable operation at rotation speeds of up to about 15,000 rotations per minute.
Horizontally Split Process Centrifugal Compressors (MCH)
The MCH-type compressor, which is suitable for pressures of up to about 4-5 MPa, has a strong casing structure, and the casing is split horizontally, so it is easy to do maintenance inside the casing.
Centrifugal compressors for gas pipelines (PCH)
We have specialized compressors suitable for pipeline stations for transporting natural gas and other raw material gases.
Overhung Centrifugal Compressors (POB)
For low-pressure applications up to about 2 MPa, we can provide single-stage compressors with only one impeller.
Centrifugal Compressors with Magnetic Bearings
The demand for oil-free rotating machinery is increasing, including centrifugal compressors for process use.
In the past, oil was essential for the bearings of compressors. However, installing magnetic bearings and non-contact gas seals makes oil-free centrifugal compressors possible, which do not use oil.

Reciprocating Compressors

Super-High-Pressure Compressors
Hitachi Super-High-Pressure Compressors used in ethylene manufacturing plants have output pressure in the range of 98-343MPa (1,000-3,500 kgf/cm²), and have very high pressures and pressure fluctuations. In order to receive high pressures and pressure fluctuations, this compressor has many advanced and special technologies comparing with general type reciprocating compressor.
High-Pressure Hydrogen Compressors
High-pressure hydrogen (100MPa) Compressors has been developed to supply hydrogen to fuel cell vehicles as energy source instead of gasoline. Advanced technologies of super-high pressure compressors have been taken in to this compressor for design of high efficiency and high reliability.
Balanced Type Reciprocating Compressors for Process Use
Hitachi balanced reciprocating compressors are used in various fields of petroleum and chemical plant and it is the key machines as the human being's heart.
Abundant experience around 100years since from first product, high reliability of management, results from the latest research and developments are taken to manufacture and design of this compressor. We satisfy the needs of all our customers with sound technology supported by our achievements in diverse fields.

AIRZEUS (SDS-U-series) Screw Compressors

The AIRZEUS SDS-U-series oil-free screw compressors have the highest level of energy efficiency in the industry, along with improved ease of operation, reduced noise, and less of a burden on the environment. We reduced the annual power consumption by about 56,000 kWh (280-kW-class, our figures compared to a conventional compressor.), which reduces about 31 tons of CO2.

Small Turbo Compressors

With about a history and extensive experience in the field of centrifugal compressors, we have used the latest CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis technology to produce a high-efficiency, low-maintenance, compact turbo-type standard air compressor.
We also satisfy our customers' needs with the new specification with environmentally-friendly high-quality air, low vibrations, low noise, and excellent ease of operation.
