Forging impeller in manufacturing process
Parts for a Reactor Internal Pump set
Supply example
7,700m3/h x 40m
Number of Pumps : 10
Design Temp. : 302ºC
Design Press. : 8.62MPa
Features
- The Reactor Internal Pump is directly installed in the bottom part of the nuclear reactor pressure vessel, and supplies cooling water to the reactor core.
- From a viewpoint of reliability over external leak prevention of reactor water, a wet motor is adopted as the driver, with a sealed construction without a shaft seal.
- The hydraulic parts (impeller and diffuser) are made of forged materials in consideration of the severe environment of the reactor. Variance in pump performance is reduced by applying numerical control (NC) machining to the vanes.
- A tilting pad, which has excellent load characteristics and vibration stability, is adopted for the radial bearing and thrust bearing.
